How much does it cost to host?
Hosting through Densi is currently free. No facilitation fees, no hidden costs. As the platform grows and when we launch the Densi app, we will introduce subscription tiers.
How is the residency brief set?
Collaboratively — between Densi and the host before the open call goes live. We work with you to capture the character of your space, the kind of work or experience you'd love to welcome, and anything that feels important to the story you want to tell.
Where is the open call promoted?
Across Densi's platform and social channels, reaching a growing global community of artists. We'll also provide ready-made assets for you to share through your own channels.
How are artists selected?
The Densi founders review all applications and present a shortlist of 10–20 finalists. The final selection is made by the host in consultation with Densi, based on suitability for the space and the residency brief.
What about contracts?
Densi provides two agreement templates — a Partnership Agreement between Densi and the host, and a Residency Agreement between the host and the artist. Both cover terms, expectations, and agreed outcomes clearly before anything goes live.
What if an artist cancels or drops out?
It happens rarely, but if it does, Densi will work quickly to find a replacement from the existing applicant pool. The agreements set out the process clearly so everyone knows what to expect.
Can we host more than one residency a year?
Absolutely — and we'd love that. We'll find a rhythm that suits your space, whether that's one artist a season or something more active.
Will transport and food be covered for the artist?
We don't ask hosts to cover these as standard, but we're always open to exploring what's possible — from travel packages to shared meals. Get in touch and let's talk about what might work for you.
